Welcome to the Title 1 program at Franklin Elementary. Here are just a few of the exciting activites going on at our school to help students achieve academic success.  

 

 

Reading/Math One-to-One Tutoring —Teachers select some of their struggling students to receive one-on-one help in math or reading with a trained paraeducator. 

 

 

 

 

After School Academics —Franklin Elementary has an incredible after school program.  In addition to enrichment activites, we provide additional academic support for students. Many of our regular classroom teachers teach reading and/or math groups. We also have a homework lab, thanks to a partnership with the Boys and Girls Club of Utah County.

 

 

 

The Parent Center—We provide many resources and services for our families through the parent center.  Among these are Story Time for preschool aged children, Hand to Hand for parents, and a library of materials that families can borrow to use at home.  Best of all, our Parent Center Coordinator is bilingual.

 

 

 

Literacy Night —Families are invited to come to the school one night a month to read books and take AR (Accelerated Reader) comprehension tests on the computer.

 

 

 

 

 

 

ESL—Not only do we provide English language instructions to limited-English speaking students, but we also partner with Dixon Middle School to provide English classes for adults.

 

 

 

Preschool—Title 1 schools in the Provo School District are invited to send at-risk preschool-aged children living within their boundaries to the Title 1 preschool located at Farrer Elementary.
